David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.

The comedian

Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an investigation into reports of questionable actions involving female individuals.

The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, adding: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."

An Illustrious Writing Journey

Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins back in 2008.

Some of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.

He has published over four dozen titles altogether, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

From Screen to Page

His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
