A Palestinian-American adolescent after completing a nine-month period in Israeli detention without being charged was released.
The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 during his detention this past winter within the occupied West Bank, during a family visit from his Florida home accused of stone-throwing at Jewish settlers, claims he consistently denied.
American diplomatic officials said it welcomed Mohammed's liberation.
Now sixteen years old, required hospitalization upon gaining freedom, family members reported.
Family described him as showing signs of malnutrition, while battling health issues developed during imprisonment.
In a statement, family spokesperson expressed the family's "immense relief".
The uncle, Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" during the entire detention period.
"At this moment, we're concentrating on getting Mohammed prompt healthcare he needs after being subjected to harsh conditions and brutal treatment throughout his detention."
The state department said it would continue to offer diplomatic assistance for the Ibrahim family.
{"American leadership considers paramount to the protection and welfare for United States citizens"," officials stated.
Several congressional representatives endorsed a document to diplomatic officials and the administration, requesting additional efforts to secure his release.
Mr Ibrahim, parent of four children managing a frozen treats business based in Tampa, previously claimed Mohammed acknowledged allegations regarding stone throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.
He had not seen or communicated with his son since February, receiving updates exclusively about his son's condition via legal paperwork.
Mohammed was held without charge in Ofer prison on the West Bank.
It is also home to adult prisoners, including individuals found guilty for major terrorist activities and murder.

Many have never been charged and human rights groups, including UN bodies, document cases involving abuse and torture.
After the teenager's freedom, family representatives announced relatives would persist in advocating seeking justice for their relative family member Sayfollah.
This young American-Palestinian according to health authorities was beaten to death by Israeli settlers amid clashes last July.
During that period, defense forces stated authorities were looking into information regarding a civilian had been killed.
Mohammed and Sayfollah were employed together in the family ice cream shop in Tampa, Florida.
No charges have been filed with Sayfollah's killing.
"We anticipate the American government to ensure our family's safety," Mr Kadur said.
