This event resulted in the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the multi-storey parking facility.

Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a suspected pepper spray caused injuries at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.

This legal action stems from an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after getting out of a car park lift, police said.

A toddler was one of the people hurt in the event. Five people were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not considered a terror-related act – led to disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
